The Humane AI Pin will begin shipping in March and those who placed priority orders will be the first to receive it. The wearable device, designed to replace a smartphone, was founded by former Apple employees Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri. Chaudhri believes that the smartphone era is coming to an end and sees the AI-powered wearable product as a way to usher in new opportunities. The $699 pin does not have a screen and instead uses voice cues and a projector to display information on the user’s hand, with a focus on privacy and contextual intelligence. It runs on a quad-core Snapdragon processor and will be available in three color options. The company has partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft, and Tidal to provide powerful AI models and platforms. Remaining orders are expected to ship in the order they were received, and the pin can be pre-ordered from Humane’s website.
