Google is testing a new feature that would let users add their own notes to search results, providing a more human perspective on the information. This is being tested in Search Labs and is currently available as an opt-in feature. Users enrolled in the experiment will see a Notes button in Search and Discover, allowing them to view and add insights to articles, and even add stickers, photos, and AI-generated images. Despite concerns about misinformation and trolling, Google is taking steps to ensure that the feature is safe and relevant. The company is also considering allowing site owners to add notes to their own pages. The feature is currently being tested in the US and India, and users will be able to provide feedback on their experiences with Notes.
