Director’s Cut for Mac and iPhone Set to Release in Early 2024

Unfortunately, the release of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding: Director’s Cut for Mac, iPhone, and iPad has been delayed until early 2024. The publisher, 505 Games, stated that it needs more time to work on the port, and the game is now expected to be available for pre-order on the Mac App Store with a release date of January 31, 2024, for $40.

Despite the game’s original release in 2019 and the director’s cut in 2021, Apple is eager to showcase its M1 or later processors and 3D graphics capabilities with this heavy-hitting title. For mobile users, the game will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro line featuring the A17 Pro chip. Like the PlayStation versions, the Apple version will also include cross-over content from Cyberpunk 2077 and Half-Life.

Hideo Kojima has mentioned that his future games will also be available on the Apple platform, but it’s uncertain whether this will include Death Stranding 2. Additionally, Kojima has announced that Death Stranding will be adapted into a movie with the help of studio A24, promising that it will not be a direct translation of the game.
