Meta Quest users now have access to Microsoft Office suite apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on their VR headsets. They can download these apps for free from the Meta Quest store and log in with their Microsoft account. The apps run on the cloud, making them quick to download and usable for multitasking. However, they are not optimized for virtual reality, so users may encounter issues with tiny icons and difficulties typing on the Quest’s onscreen keyboard. Users may need to use Bluetooth accessories for more serious work. This development was announced during Meta’s Connect 2022 event, where they also promised access to Outlook, Teams, and a Windows experience in partnership with Microsoft.
