Google will restrict third-party cookies in Chrome starting January 4, 2024, initially for one percent of users. The rollout to all users will be complete by the second half of 2024. Users may encounter temporary hiccups and can re-enable third-party cookies as needed. Chrome currently holds 62.85 percent of the browser market share globally. However, Google may face challenges from regulatory authorities in various countries regarding the impact on local ad businesses.
