Amazon introduces Titan Image Generator, available to AWS customers via the Bedrock console. Users can input text prompts to create images or upload and edit existing images. Amazon claims the tool can produce studio-quality, realistic images at a low cost, with accurate object composition and limited distortions to reduce harmful content and misinformation.
Users can also edit images, such as replacing backgrounds or objects, and extending image borders. Titan applies invisible watermarks to generated images, providing a mechanism to identify AI-generated images and promote transparent AI technology development. The AI generator can also produce image descriptions and relevant text for social media posts.
Amazon unveiled Titan at the AWS re:Invent conference, along with AI chips and a business-centric AI chatbot called Q. They also offer advertisers a tool to add AI-generated backgrounds to product images.
