Arcane’s second season is finally set to hit Netflix in November 2024, two years after the series was renewed. The show, based on League of Legends, revolves around the story of sisters and rivals Vi and Jinx. According to former CEO Nicolo Laurent, the delay in the release of season two is due to the unexpected success of the show. Arcane became the first streaming series to win an animated Emmy award last year and received praise from both critics and viewers. Creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee emphasized that the series was always going to focus on Vi and Jinx, despite the game’s large and diverse cast of characters. Netflix has released a brief teaser for the second season and is expected to unveil longer trailers in the coming months. Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell are set to return to their roles as Vi and Jinx, with Katie Leung reprising her role as Caitlyn Kiramman.
