The Spotify TV app has updated to mimic the popular mobile version of the streaming service. The home page features a “Now Playing View” and shortcuts to recently played content, with recommendations based on listening history. This isn’t the only change – switching between Spotify accounts is now easier, with the most recently active profile always visible. The “Playback Queue” tool allows users to select what to play next, and dark mode is now an option for a more subdued visual experience. These updates are available to both free and premium subscribers on supported Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and media streaming devices. The updates aim to improve the user experience on the big screen, following similar updates for the mobile app earlier this year.
