Samsung has released details regarding three upcoming Odyssey gaming monitors, just before CES 2024. All three monitors feature OLED displays with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400. They also have Samsung’s anti-glare technology to minimize reflections from daylight and ambient light.
First is the 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G95SD curved ultra-wide monitor. It offers a DQHD (5120×1440) resolution, a 0.03ms response time, a 240Hz refresh rate, a 32:9 aspect ratio, and access to Samsung’s smart TV platform and Gaming Hub. The monitor is slim and slightly smaller in size than the Odyssey Ark.
The Odyssey G80SD is the first flat 32-inch OLED gaming monitor in Samsung’s lineup. It features 4K UHD (3840×2160) resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 0.03ms response time, and a 240Hz refresh rate. The monitor is ultra-thin, with a width of just under four millimeters, and comes with CoreLighting+ technology for unique ambient lighting schemes.
The 27-inch OLED G60SD offers a 360Hz refresh rate and a QHD (2560×1440) resolution. It also includes Samsung’s CoreLighting+ tech for ambient lighting, and has a slim, metal form factor. The display can be adjusted for comfort via tilt, pivot, and swivel.
Pricing information is not yet available, but Samsung has promised that each monitor will be released sometime this year. Last year, the company announced a range of Odyssey gaming monitors at CES 2023, and they were all available by the middle of the year.
CES 2024 runs from January 6-12 in Las Vegas. Keep up with all the latest news from the show.
