Netflix has renewed “The Challenge” for a second season, a toned-down version of the dystopian drama “Squid Game.” Production on the new season is underway. “The Challenge” recreates popular scenarios from the original show, including fake deaths and dangerous situations for players. Some contestants complained about the scarcity of provisions and other issues. Like “Squid Game,” the cash prize is large, with the winner taking home $4.65 million. Despite criticisms, the show has been a hit, consistently ranking among the streamer’s top ten. Additionally, Netflix has revealed that a new show set in the “Squid Game” universe is in the works, featuring recognizable games from the series. This article contains affiliate links.
