In August, TikTok collaborated with Ticketmaster to offer in-app ticketing for live events, but only in the US. Now, the service is expanding to over 20 countries in North America, Europe, Australia, and the UK.
The tool is limited to artists certified by TikTok, totaling over 75,000 entertainers and event providers. Users can click on a link in a video to purchase tickets for music, comedy, and sporting events. The program has helped artists like Shania Twain, Burna Boy, and The Kooks with successful ticketing campaigns, generating over 2.5 billion views of videos using the feature.
The tool is now available in countries like Sweden, Switzerland, and Poland. TikTok has not confirmed future availability in other locations but is excited about the partnership with Ticketmaster. Snapchat also partners with Ticketmaster, but TikTok’s method is more efficient for accessing tickets.
