The Peak Design iPhone tripod is a well-designed aluminum frame that folds into a credit card-sized shape. The premium build design and quality come with a tiny hex key built into the tripod legs for tightening. The solid micro-ball head allows for adjusting the angle of your iPhone while in tripod mode and can magnetically attach to the phone in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Even without a Peak Design case, any MagSafe iPhone locks onto the tripod, maintaining a solid hold whether in use or folded away.
While there are more affordable MagSafe phone stands available, they may not be as sturdy as something securely snapped onto your smartphone or a smartphone case. MagSafe accessories like Moft’s Snap-On Stand and Wallet, Anker’s MagGo phone grip, and PopSockets are all convenient but may eventually fall off if enough force is applied. However, Peak Design’s tripod does not require a specific case and leaves no sticky residue.
