Withings’ latest, the ScanWatch Nova, is essentially a luxury take on its ScanWatch 2. The emphasis on it being for the higher-end buyer is reflected in the price tag, which is set at $599.95. The ScanWatch Nova has a wide range of capabilities, including heart rate monitoring, ECG, and detecting irregular heart rhythms and conditions like atrial fibrillation. It can also measure blood oxygen levels, report breathing disturbances during sleep, and track body temperature changes overnight. Additionally, it provides information about sleep phases, depth, and duration, as well as interruptions and overall sleep quality. The smartwatch can also track steps and calories burned during workouts in 40+ preloaded activities, including cycling and running, and assess heart rate variability and overall energy expenditure during intense activities. The watch comes with a stainless steel metal wristband and a silicone one designed for physical activity. It is water-resistant at 10 ATM and protected by sapphire glass. The battery life lasts about 30 days and requires less than 2 hours to recharge. The watch will be available in blue, green, and black on the Withings website now, but it won’t be available in retailers until February 1st next year.
