The PS5 Slim is now available in the US. It comes with a free copy of marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and the bundle costs around $500. It is expected to be available in other retailers soon. The PS5 Slim bundles with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III have also been listed at Walmart for $609 with an option to choose an accessory. However, it is available in Canada for $650 CAD including Modern Warfare III for free.
When Sony first revealed the leaner models of the PlayStation 5, they mentioned that it would be available in November. The latest model is 30% smaller and either 18% or 24% lighter than its predecessor. The only notable difference in appearance is a black band that separates the top and bottom cover panels.
The new PS5 digital edition is available for $450, which is $50 more expensive than the previous version. If you want to use physical game discs or watch DVDs or Blu-rays on the PS5, you can attach an $80 disc drive. However, the original PS5 consoles will be discontinued once they are sold out.
To position the PS5 Slim vertically, you will need to purchase a separate $30 stand. Otherwise, plastic clips are included to stabilize the console horizontally.
