Apple has updated its tvOS, introducing a revamped Apple TV app with a sidebar that combines content from Apple’s own services and access to third-party channels and apps such as Disney+ and Max. The redesign aims to improve navigation and discoverability while keeping the industry standard tile browsing format on the homepage. The sidebar on living room devices will include profiles, allowing users to switch between personalized recommendations and navigate the app more easily. Additionally, the Watch Now section has been rebranded as Home. The Store tab within the Apple TV app is where users will go to buy or rent movies and TV shows. The update also allows users to answer FaceTime calls directly on Apple TV 4K devices and adds support for FaceTime audio calls.
