Amazon has slashed prices on Ember smart mugs for Black Friday, with the 10 oz Ember Smart Mug 2 now starting at $90, down from the usual $130. These high-tech mugs have built-in heating to maintain your drink at your ideal temperature, making sure it stays hot without getting lukewarm. Engadget recommends the Ember Smart Mug 2 as a great gift for teachers, as it can keep your drink heated to anywhere between 120 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. The mug comes with a companion app for iOS and Android that allows you to set and forget your preferred temperature. The mug will remember your setting, automatically heat when it detects liquid, and stop when it’s empty. The mug has a battery life of up to 80 minutes and comes with a charging coaster that essentially allows it to last all day. The white, black, and red variants of the 10 oz Mug 2 are currently marked down on Amazon, with the black and red options costing $100, a $10 extra cost over the white model. Additionally, Amazon is offering $40 off the standard 14 oz Ember Smart Mug 2, with the white and black models priced at $109.46 (usually $150) and the copper version available for $130 (typically $180).
