Recently, Supermassive Games released a trailer for its upcoming single-player interactive story game in the Dead by Daylight universe. Called The Casting of Frank Stone, this character-driven narrative adventure promises to offer the same character choices and tension found in Supermassive’s previous titles such as Until Dawn and The Quarry. The game is said to feature “powerful life or death choices” and a new cast of characters, providing a unique experience for horror fans. Unlike Dead by Deadlight, which is an asymmetrical multiplayer game, The Casting of Frank Stone will be a completely different single-player adventure, as highlighted in the trailer.
The trailer showcases a slow, moody, and cinematic atmosphere, a departure from the original game. While it doesn’t provide much detail about the gameplay, it does offer some glimpses of a flashlight in the woods from a first-person perspective.
The debut trailer at The Game Awards offered the first real look at the game, which is set to launch in 2024 for Xbox X/S and PC via Steam and Windows. Known for putting a B-horror spin on things, Supermassive is expected to deliver an engaging experience with The Casting of Frank Stone.
