The Depths of Enchantment: Geralt’s Voice Actor to Star in Animated Film

Netflix has revealed the first look at its new animated film, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, set to premiere on the streaming service in late 2024. The film is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story A Little Sacrifice and follows Geralt of Rivia as he investigates attacks in a seaside village amid conflict between human inhabitants and merpeople. The animated film is set between episodes 5 and 6 of the live-action series’ first season, with a Geralt resembling actor Henry Cavill more than the game’s version.

Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey, stars of the live-action series, will reprise their roles as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Jaskier in the animated film. Doug Cockle, known for voicing the White Wolf in the Witcher games, will voice Geralt. The movie is directed by Kang Hei Chul, who worked on The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, and animated by Studio MIR.

This may be the last time fans see a version of Cavill play Geralt, as he is set to be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in the live-action show after the third season.
