Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard included a concession to allow users of third-party cloud services access to certain games. Today, three Call of Duty games, including Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Warzone, are available on NVIDIA GeForce Now. This marks the first time Activision games have been on GeForce Now since Microsoft acquired the company in October. While they were briefly available on the platform in 2020, they were taken down shortly after. Microsoft has also recently allowed GeForce Now users to stream PC Game Pass titles and Microsoft Store purchases. This is a major development for Warzone fans who can now play the game on their phone or tablet without any extra cost. Additionally, older CoD titles will be available on GeForce Now in the future. Despite Microsoft’s concession to allow Activision Blizzard titles on competing services, the company has upheld its agreements with various cloud gaming platforms.
