TLG unveiled a new lineup of OLED TVs just before CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The LG Signature OLED M4 and OLED G4 TVs have an updated AI processor that provides four times the performance of last year’s models. The Alpha 11 AI processor enhances picture and audio quality, offering a 70 percent improvement of visual performance when gaming compared to its predecessor. The AI chip upscales objects and backgrounds to reduce blur, analyzes and adjusts colors, and promises a more “three-dimensional” image with Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro technology. The resolution remains 4K, but the refresh rates have increased to 144Hz for the M4 and G4 models. The TVs also offer access to LG’s webOS platform for streaming content and cloud gaming. The M4 comes with LG’s proprietary Zero Connect Box, providing real-time wireless audio and video transmission. Both TVs support NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, with Game Optimizer selection screen for different gaming genres. Pricing and availability are still undetermined. Alongside the new OLED TVs, LG also announced a 97-inch M3 OLED display and a 98-inch QNED model. We’re reporting live from CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 6-12.
