Amazon is merging Comixology with the Kindle app, and as of December 4, users will only be able to access their libraries through Kindle. Reading progress will be synced, but users will need to download all their comics, manga, and graphic novels in the Kindle app even if they want to continue reading on the same device. The browser version of Comixology shut down in early 2022, and integrating it with the Kindle app or Amazon’s browser-based reader made many comics unreadable. Despite the changes, purchasing comics and Comixology Unlimited subscriptions through Amazon will remain the same.
