An Indiegogo campaign raised over $800,000 for the GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker, which is now available in the US. Initially known as the Arden, the indoor smoker is the product of GE Appliance’s FirstBuild. The countertop device uses Active Smoke Filtration technology and offers five smoke presets and six food-specific settings, with the capacity to prepare side dishes and desserts. The appliance uses a fraction of the wood pellets as outdoor grills and includes a pellet capture system. Dishwasher safe racks and drip trays make for easy cleanup. With GE Profile Connect+, users can adjust smoke levels and monitor the cooking process. The GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker is available for $1,000 and will be on display at CES this month.
