Microsoft has partnered with AI-based music creation platform Suno to create a new tool called Copilot. This tool allows users to craft personalized songs using a text prompt, regardless of their musical background. Suno has been working on algorithms to create AI-generated songs, and Microsoft believes they have hit the jackpot with this partnership.
When using Copilot, all you need to do is enter a prompt and the algorithm will take care of the rest. The end result will be personalized songs with lyrics and singing voices, or even instrumental tunes. This tool is aimed at non-musicians who want to create a tune for special occasions like birthdays.
Microsoft provides prompt examples such as “create a pop song about adventures with your family” and “make a song that captures the spirit of growing up.” The Suno add-on will have access to personal data gathered by Copilot during use, potentially resulting in very specific songs.
The feature will begin rolling out today, but it will be released in stages, so it may take a few weeks before it is available to all users. In the meantime, users will have to make do with the other features that Copilot offers.
